 Real-Time Market Data Engineering Internship

Madrid | Working from home up to 40% | Reference 7504

We are looking for an intern to join our Real-Time Market Data team, where we develop and operate high-performance systems that process financial data with very low latency. In this internship, you will have the opportunity to collaborate closely with experienced engineers on monitoring, automation, and real-time data workflows. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience with modern C++, Python automation, and monitoring technologies such as Elastic and Grafana, all within an international and highly technical environment.

What You Will Do

  • Learn how real-time market data systems process and distribute financial information with very low latency.
  • Support the team in monitoring and improving system performance using Elastic, Grafana, and related tools.
  • Help automate repetitive operational tasks and data checks through Python scripts.
  • Contribute to building and maintaining dashboards and alerts to improve system visibility and reliability.
  • Learn how modern C++ (C++20/23) is used to develop high-performance applications in financial environments.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers on continuous improvements and small development or automation projects.
  • Take part in daily team activities using agile practices such as Kanban or SAFe.

What You Bring

  • You are in your final year of a Computer Science or studying a related bachelor's degree/master/FP.
  • Strong interest in real-time systems, low-latency data processing, and market data technology.
  • Understanding of C++, ideally with some experience using modern standards (C++20/23) from academic or personal projects.
  • Good practical knowledge of Python, including the ability to write structured scripts and small automation tools.
  • Some knowledge or interest in monitoring tools such as Elastic, Grafana, or similar.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and Git.
  • Enthusiasm to learn, collaborate, and able to communicate in English within an international team. Spanish is desired but not mandatory.
