About The Role
The Senior Account Executive will focus on selling our digital commerce services, spanning the entire sales lifecycle from opportunity qualification, sales pursuits, closing strategy, and execution to account management. The Senior Account Executive will build and maintain strong relationships with VTEX clients, working closely with C-Levels, understanding their needs, and showcasing the value VTEX solutions add to their businesses.

Location Requirement:
This role is based in Barcelona, and the ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of the Spanish commerce market, including industry trends, key players, and regional business dynamics.

Key Responsibilities
Sales Strategy and Execution:

  • Develop and implement a strategic plan to achieve and exceed sales targets within assigned territories or industries.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and lead generation.

Client Acquisition

  • Conduct discovery calls and meetings to understand potential clients' Digital Sales challenges and objectives.
  • Present and demonstrate the platform's features, capabilities, and value propositions effectively to key decision-makers.

Pipeline Management

  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date sales pipeline, tracking leads through the sales cycle using CRM tools.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts and reporting to leadership.

Negotiation And Closing

  • Prepare proposals, negotiate contracts, and close deals in alignment with company policies and revenue goals.
  • Build trust and rapport with prospective clients to secure long-term partnerships.

Market And Industry Insights

  • Stay informed about industry trends, competitive landscape, and client needs to tailor solutions accordingly.
  • Share feedback from prospects to internal teams to contribute to product and service improvements.

Main KPI

  • New Logo ACV: "New Logo ACV" corresponds to the Total ACV (annual contract value) amount from New Clients and Partners' deals.

Who You Are

  • You bring 6+ years of experience in account management or a similar client-facing role, ideally within B2B SaaS or tech companies.
  • You're a true expert in the Spanish market — you understand its dynamics, business culture, and how to build strong relationships that drive long-term success. Experience in other European markets is a plus.
  • You're fluent in English and Spanish, and it's even better if you can also communicate in Portuguese or Italian.
  • You're a strategic thinker with a hands-on mindset — autonomous, proactive, and known for taking full ownership of your accounts and results.
  • You're curious and data-driven, always looking for ways to optimize performance and exceed client expectations.
  • You thrive in a fast-paced, high-growth environment, embracing change and turning challenges into opportunities.
  • You're comfortable using or eager to explore AI-powered marketing and sales tools such as ChatGPT, Jasper, , , Mutiny, or , etc.
