We are looking for an exceptional design leader who can connect business strategy with creative expression, build scalable design systems and bring our visual storytelling to life across channels.
Role Overview
The Creative & Brand Design Lead (Senior Manager) will play a central role in shaping and scaling the visual identity of dss+. You will lead the evolution of our brand design system, create tools and templates that empower teams globally and drive innovation in visual storytelling through data visualisation, motion design and interactive content.
You will collaborate closely with the Marketing Content Strategy Lead and senior business leaders to ensure every visual touchpoint reflects our brand purpose and strategic ambition. The role requires a balance of strategic vision, creative excellence, and operational rigour - someone who can both imagine and implement.
Key Responsibilities
Brand & Visual Identity
- Lead the evolution of the dss+ brand visual identity to ensure it is modern, distinctive, and aligned with our strategic direction.
- Establish and maintain a scalableglobal brand system, including templates, libraries, toolkits, and digital guidelines, that allows anyone in the organisation to implement the brand easily and correctly (e.g., through Canva, Figma or other integrated systems).
- Serve as brand guardian, ensuring visual consistency and quality across all media: digital, print, social, video and events.
- Partner with leaders across marketing, regions and practices to embed brand expression into business narratives, new services and client-facing content.
- Oversee visual audits and define a roadmap for continuous design improvement across touchpoints.
Creative Content & Design Innovation
- Translate business and marketing strategies into compelling, high-impact design across channels.
- Lead the development of data-driven visual storytelling, bringing insights and impact metrics to life through infographics, dashboards and dynamic visualisations.
- Drive innovation in motion design, interactive editorial formats and immersive digital experiences that enhance the way we communicate transformation and impact.
- Develop and implement modular, multi-channel templates (e.g., presentation decks, web visuals, case studies, videos) to ensure speed, consistency and quality in content creation.
- Oversee all creative design output, from concept through delivery, maintaining high standards of craft, clarity and strategic intent.
- Ensure accessibility, clarity and inclusivity in design choices across regions and languages.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Lead, mentor and inspire an internal / external design team, fostering a culture of creativity, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with content, communications, digital and consulting teams to ensure visual coherence and message alignment.
- Partner with the Marketing Content Strategy Lead to plan and prioritise design resources to meet business needs.
- Build and manage relationships with external design agencies, illustrators, videographers and production partners.
- Manage design budgets, contracts and vendor relationships to ensure efficient delivery and value for investment.
Measurement & Continuous Improvement
- Define and track metrics for design performance (brand consistency, asset reuse, stakeholder satisfaction).
- Introduce design workflow tools and governance to streamline creative processes and approvals.
- Keep the organisation at the forefront of design thinking by monitoring trends in brand design, data visualisation, motion and digital experience.
- Regularly review competitive and adjacent brands to identify differentiation opportunities and innovation gaps.
Experience & Skills
- 10–15 years of experience in visual identity, brand design, or creative leadership roles, ideally within B2B, consulting or complex global organisations.
- Proven track record in evolving brand systems and visual identities for global or multi-regional brands.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in brand design, data visualisation, motion design and multi-channel creative.
- Deep knowledge of design tools (e.g. Adobe Creative Suite, Figma, Canva, After Effects, motion or interactive tools).
- Experience with design system development, digital asset management and content automation.
- Strategic thinker who can connect brand expression with business and marketing goals.
- Exceptional communication and storytelling skills, able to articulate design intent to senior stakeholders.
- Organised and detail-oriented, able to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or related field.
- Ideally some experience working with consulting, sustainability or professional services brands.
- Familiarity with digital experience design, UI/UX principles, or content analytics.
- Exposure to emerging creative technologies (e.g., generative design tools, AI-assisted design).
