About the role

As an AE Operations Specialist (Deal Desk), you will be the operational backbone behind Genesy's most complex and high-impact deals.

This role exists to unblock sales, protect the company, and accelerate deal velocity. You sit at the intersection of Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and Leadership, ensuring that non-standard deals move forward quickly without compromising Genesy's commercial, legal, or product integrity.

You are not here to sell, you are here to make selling safer, faster, and scalable.

  • Unblock complex deals without increasing risk
    You will handle deals involving custom product requests, pricing exceptions, non-standard contract terms, and policy deviations. Your challenge is to move these deals forward with clarity and speed, while making trade-offs explicit and protecting Genesy's long-term interests.
  • Enforce deal integrity while partnering with Sales
    You will work closely with Account Executives who are under pressure to close. You must be trusted as a deal enabler, while also having the backbone to push back on structures, shortcuts, or concessions that expose the company to risk or set bad precedents.
  • Turn deal chaos into scalable operations
    What starts as manual deal support should evolve into clear rules, playbooks, templates, and approval paths. Your role is to identify recurring friction and fix it at the system and policy level, reducing sales cycle time at scale.

About you

You are a commercially minded operator who enjoys sitting in the middle of complex decisions. You are calm under pressure, structured in your thinking, and comfortable being the person who brings clarity when others are optimizing for speed alone.

  • Strong commercial and operational judgment
    You have experience supporting complex B2B SaaS deals and understand the implications of pricing, product scope, contract terms, and policy exceptions. You know when to approve, when to escalate, and when to say no.
  • Ability to orchestrate cross-functional decisions
    You can coordinate effectively between Sales, Product, Legal, Finance, and Leadership, driving decisions forward without unnecessary friction or delay.
  • Backbone, integrity, and partnership mindset
    You can push back on Sales when needed without damaging trust. You protect the company while genuinely helping AEs close deals faster and cleaner.
  • Fluency in English
