Biomedical Engineer with neuroscience profile

Position Summary

We are looking for a research assistant with studies and experience in
Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience or similar,
to join our research team at INAB in the Barcelona laboratories. The ideal candidate should hold an undergraduate degree in Engineering, or a related field, and have research experience in areas such as perception, consciousness, cognition, or emotions.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop experiments.
  • Process and analyze data using advanced statistical and artificial intelligence techniques.
  • Write and publish scientific articles in high-impact specialized journals.
  • Present research findings at international conferences.

Requirements

  • Degree or Master in Biomedical Engineering, Cognitive Neuroscience or related field
  • Research experience
    in the fields of perception, consciousness, thinking, and emotions.
  • Track record of writing and publishing scientific articles.
  • Experience in presenting research findings at international conferences.
  • Skills in experimental design and execution, as well as data processing.
  • Advanced knowledge in artificial intelligence, statistics, and data analysis.

Specific Knowledge

Extensive experience in one or more of the following techniques:

  • Electroencephalography (EEG)
  • Functional Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (fNIRS)
  • Biosensors
  • Hyperscanning

Start Date and Conditions

  • Start date: December-January 2025/2026 in Barcelona.
