ROLE SUMMARY:
An established international school in Madrid is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced
French Teacher
to join its dynamic team from
late August 2026
. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled educator to teach French across
Upper Key Stage 2 (UKS2)
and up to and including
iGCSE level
within a supportive, high-performing environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach French to UKS2 pupils and iGCSE classes, ensuring high academic standards.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver creative and effective lessons aligned with curriculum expectations.
- Assess, record, and report on student progress in line with school policies.
- Contribute to curriculum development within the Modern Foreign Languages department.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and motivating learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues to support students' pastoral and academic development.
- Participate in school events, meetings, and professional development activities as required.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, QTS, or international equivalent).
- Strong subject knowledge and experience teaching French to UKS2 and/or iGCSE level.
- Previous experience in an international or bilingual school setting is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage and inspire young learners.
- A commitment to safeguarding, student wellbeing, and high standards of professional practice.
- Flexibility, teamwork, and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
