Your role and work environment:

We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Tech in Control Specialist to join our Governance & Operational Excellence CoE

As our technology landscape grows in scale, we need a dedicated Tech Control Specialist who ensures that our systems, processes and practices operate with consistency, to guarantee their integrity, security, efficiency and compliance with internal policies and external regulations.

This role strengthens our internal control framework across technology operations, reduce operational risks and ensures that our teams are coordinated. You will be key to prevent risks, protect assets, optimize processes and support the delivery teams to maintain Tech in control.

Your key responsibilities:

As a Tech Control Specialist your key responsibilitites will be:

Assess risk and controls within the Tech Domain: Evaluate the effectiveness of IT controls and policies to mitigate risks. Conduct periodic reviews and assessments identifying gaps and controlling weakness.

Planning and coordination: Verify how the organization adheres to relevant regulatory requirements (e.g., SOX) and industry standards, and coordinate efforts with the involved teams, gather evidences and centralize reporting, facilitating audits (internal or externals)

Analize and advise: Work with the Tech teams to understand our systems and controls. Analyze operational data to detect trends, risks or recurring issues. Coordinate and collaborate with second line and third line and to propose and help implementing corrective actions.

Document, communicate findings and action plans: Document processes and controls to ensure they remain updated and accessible. Prepare and communicate reports for management that outline findings, risks, and specific, actionable recommendations for improvement.

Monitor and follow up: Track the implementation of recommendations to ensure issues are effectively resolved and closed. 

Training and awareness: Promote the "Tech in control" mindset, provide training and guidance to teams on control practices and best-in-class processes.

Knowledge and experience:

Strong understanding of IT governance, internal controls and risk management principles

Technical knowledge of systems, platforms, and applications to effectively collaborate with technical teams.

Experience in compliance or audit projects, preferably in the banking or financial sector

Knowledge of internal controls, audit frameworks, and applicable regulations (SOX, COSO, COBIT, etc.).

Knowledge of document management, evidence tracking, and reporting tools.

Competences:

Ability to lead with cross-functional teams at all seniority levels and coordinate multiple stakeholders.

Analytical skills to identify trends, risk and improvement opportunities.

Manage priorities in complex environments.

Problem-solving attitude and ability to challenge existing processes constructively.

Structured and detail-oriented mindset.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Spanish and English

A medida que nuestro ecosistema tecnológico crece en escala, necesitamos un/a Tech Control Specialist dedicado/a que garantice que nuestros sistemas, procesos y prácticas operan con consistencia, asegurando su integridad, seguridad, eficiencia y cumplimiento con políticas internas y regulaciones externas.

Este rol refuerza nuestro marco de control interno en las operaciones tecnológicas, reduce riesgos operativos y asegura la coordinación de nuestros equipos. Serás clave para prevenir riesgos, proteger activos, optimizar procesos y apoyar a los equipos de entrega para mantener la tecnología bajo control.

Tus principales responsabilidades:

Como Tech Control Specialist tus responsabilidades principales serán:

Evaluar riesgos y controles dentro del dominio tecnológico: Analizar la efectividad de los controles y políticas de IT para mitigar riesgos. Realizar revisiones y evaluaciones periódicas identificando brechas y debilidades de control.

Planificación y coordinación: Verificar cómo la organización cumple con los requisitos regulatorios relevantes (p. ej., SOX) y estándares del sector, coordinar esfuerzos con los equipos implicados, recopilar evidencias y centralizar informes, facilitando auditorías (internas o externas).

Analizar y asesorar: Colaborar con los equipos tecnológicos para comprender nuestros sistemas y controles. Analizar datos operativos para detectar tendencias, riesgos o problemas recurrentes. Coordinar y colaborar con segunda y tercera línea para proponer e implementar acciones correctivas.

Documentar, comunicar hallazgos y planes de acción: Documentar procesos y controles para garantizar que estén actualizados y accesibles. Preparar y comunicar informes para la dirección que incluyan hallazgos, riesgos y recomendaciones específicas y accionables para la mejora.

Monitorizar y dar seguimiento: Hacer seguimiento de la implementación de recomendaciones para asegurar que los problemas se resuelvan y cierren eficazmente.

Formación y concienciación: Promover la mentalidad "Tech in control", proporcionando formación y orientación a los equipos sobre prácticas de control y procesos de referencia.

Conocimientos y experiencia:

• Sólida comprensión de gobierno de IT, controles internos y principios de gestión de riesgos.

• Conocimiento técnico de sistemas, plataformas y aplicaciones para colaborar eficazmente con equipos técnicos.

• Experiencia en proyectos de cumplimiento o auditoría, preferiblemente en el sector bancario o financiero.

• Conocimiento de controles internos, marcos de auditoría y regulaciones aplicables (SOX, COSO, COBIT, etc.).

• Conocimiento de herramientas de gestión documental, seguimiento de evidencias e informes.

Competencias:

• Capacidad para liderar con equipos transversales en todos los niveles y coordinar múltiples stakeholders.

• Habilidades analíticas para identificar tendencias, riesgos y oportunidades de mejora.

• Gestión de prioridades en entornos complejos.

• Actitud resolutiva y capacidad para cuestionar procesos existentes de manera constructiva.

• Mentalidad estructurada y orientada al detalle.

• Excelentes habilidades de comunicación escrita y verbal en español e inglés.
