Iron Mountain is seeking a motivated
Critical Facilities Operations & Maintenance Junior Engineer
to join our Iron Mountain Data Centers team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the continuous, safe, and efficient operation of cutting-edge data center infrastructure. This unique opportunity is designed for a recent graduate eager to gain hands-on experience with critical electrical, mechanical, and building management systems under the mentorship of industry experts.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
In this role, you will:
- Monitor and Operate Critical Systems: Learn to effectively monitor, operate, and maintain critical data center infrastructure, including heating, ventilation, and air conditioning ( HVAC ), generators, and uninterruptible power supply ( UPS ) units, to ensure maximum system uptime.
- Collaborate on Preventative Maintenance: Work alongside experienced technicians and external vendors to execute routine inspections and scheduled maintenance, ensuring the work meets high standards and provides actionable insights for issue prevention.
- Ensure Regulatory Compliance and Safety: Dive into detailed maintenance operating procedures ( MOPs ) and standard operating procedures ( SOPs ) to help uphold strict safety, environmental, and regulatory standards for all on-site work.
What You'll Bring (Skills & Qualifications)
The ideal candidate will have:
- A recent Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering , or a related discipline.
- Strong knowledge of technical documentation and procedures, with a keen attention to detail .
- Proven ability to communicate fluently in both English and Spanish (written and verbal).
- A genuine curiosity about complex infrastructure and a thirst for knowledge in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.
