Scope of Role The successful candidates will be expected to acquire new clients and increase the wallet share of existing clients. The country / regional focus will be on Tier 1 and tier 2 financial institutions in Spain. This is an active new business development and account management role with a primary goal of increasing sales revenue through selling high value software technology solutions and services to FIs in the Spain and Portugal.

Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate will have the following core assets and experiences:

Currently responsible for selling Corporate Banking related technology solutions e.g. Payments, Collections, Cash Management, Liquidity, Supply Chain and Trade Finance.

Proven contact network at Tier 1 and 2 banks in Spain and Portugal, it the business and technology areas, at multiple levels

Target driven and sell motivated sales professional, to build and maintain a X4 of Sales Target pipeline funnel, and aggressive towards achievement

Able to demonstrate a strong sales track record including the strategic management of medium-large, complex relationships

Good understanding of sales lifecycle of banking software solutions, with both hunter and farmer experience to develop existing accounts

Have closed individual new business deals of Euro 5-10 Mn. size within the targeted banking sector.

Ability to work in a mutli-cultural organization, with sales related travel % outside the country will be expected.

Responsibilities

Recommend & implement sales strategy and work on approved Go to Market plan for the region to acquire new clients.

Deliver on agreed annual revenue/order book/license fee targets as per the company business plan for the region / target markets.

Build strategic relationships with client's base to identify new initiatives and generate the pipeline for new business.

Control the sales process throughout the sales cycle and be accountable for and lead all new RFPs/proposal submissions and ensuring getting the right team in place for increasing the probability of a win.

Lead client engagements and key negotiations from lead generation through to contract signature

Work with marketing to establish campaigns to create 'pull' in the Spain market with a focus on ROI & optimization from existing & new business

Requirements The following defines the core requirements necessary for the candidate to be considered for the role:

• Overall experience of 15+ years with minimum sales experience of 7 years + from a financial software or banking background with

Fluent in Spanish and English is a must

Right candidate should be selling for 7 to 9 years in IT / Financial Software / Banking background with good knowledge of the industry domain

Must have a self-starting, driven, assertive and positive attitude with proven ability to achieve sales targets

Strong relationship management skills; Establish and maintain prospect and client contacts at all levels. 

Strong written and verbal communication skills and influencing skills

Ability to present and negotiate with senior level management

Persuasive communication, presentation and negotiation skills and ability to close deal
