Gracity is a technology platform for measuring, reporting and verifying (MRV) the real-world impact of urban green infrastructure.

We integrate data from IoT sensors, satellites, geospatial information and impact models to generate auditable climate metrics, enabling municipalities, developers and financial institutions to access green financing based on verifiable data.

Our technical challenge is to build a zero-to-one architecture capable of uniting heterogeneous data (IoT, raster, vector, socioeconomic), processing it reproducibly and offering it as a multi-tenant SaaS and climate and financial impact APIs.

We are looking for a co-founder/CTO with vision, sound judgment and experience building products from scratch. The ideal candidate can lead both the technical architecture and product evolution in a highly complex technical environment with a regulatory component.

Responsibilities


• Define and build the complete platform architecture: data ingestion (IoT, satellite, socioeconomic), normalization, models, APIs, and the SaaS layer.


• Lead the development of the MVP alongside the founding team and translate the business vision into concrete technical decisions.


• Design reproducible data pipelines (ETLs, MLOps) and the MRV engine (environmental, climate, and resilience KPIs).


• Create the SaaS layer for banks, investors and insurers: reporting, scoring, permissions and APIs.


• Ensure security, auditing, privacy and scalability from the design stage.


• Build and lead the engineering team after the seed round.


• Actively participate in strategic decisions, fundraising and relationships with technology partners.


• Contribute technical product insights, understanding the needs of public, private and financial users.

Requirements


• Experience leading at least one technology product in phase 0-1, ideally on complex data platforms or SaaS.


• Solid experience in backend development, API design, and data architecture.


• Experience with MLOps (Airflow, Prefect, MLflow, Docker/Kubernetes) or distributed systems.


• Hands-on experience or a solid conceptual foundation in geospatial data (PostGIS, GeoPandas, Rasterio, STAC) or a proven ability to learn them quickly.


• Ability to make technical decisions with incomplete information and to prioritize under pressure.


• An architect's mindset and systems thinking, not just technical execution.


• Product vision and sensitivity to regulated or sensitive data environments.


• Entrepreneurial mindset, high autonomy, and motivation to build from scratch.


• Availability to initially join with equity until the seed round.

Added value (not mandatory)


• Integration of IoT sensors (LoRaWAN, NB-IoT) or remote management.


• Knowledge of ESG metrics, EU Taxonomy, or financial reporting.


• Experience in multi-tenant B2B SaaS.
• Satellite image processing (Sentinel, Landsat).


• Experience in environmental or urban impact projects.
