The Opportunity

Business Intelligence Manager (12-Month Maternity Cover)
Location: Barcelona, Spain 
Department: Strategy Analytics
Contract Type: Temporary, 12 Months

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Business Intelligence Manager experienced in Power BI to join our team on a 12-month maternity cover basis. This role requires a highly Power BI skilled individual who can seamlessly bridge the gap between technical teams and business stakeholders, ensuring that data-driven insights effectively support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate will not only be proficient in Business Intelligence tools and methodologies but also possess excellent communication skills to engage with both technical experts and non-technical stakeholders. They will take an active role in requirements gathering and brainstorming sessions, providing valuable input rather than simply executing predefined development tasks.

What you'll get to do


•    Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, providing actionable insights to key stakeholders.

•    Manage a BI team.

•    Ensure data integrity, quality, and security across multiple platforms.

•    Act as a liaison between technical teams (IT Team) and business stakeholders (Strategy and Market Intelligence), ensuring effective communication and alignment of objectives.

•    Lead brainstorming and requirements-gathering sessions, actively participating in discussions to shape solutions rather than simply executing instructions.

•    Collaborate cross-functionally to identify opportunities for leveraging data to improve business processes.

Must-Have:

•    Strong proficiency in Power BI for dashboard creation and data visualization.

•    Advanced skills in MS SQL Server.

•    Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

•    Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach to problem-solving and decision-making.

•    Experience in leading and actively participating in brainstorming and requirements-gathering discussions.

•    Familiarity with Market Data (e.g. Nielsen/Circana) and Financial reporting and P&L.
Nice to Have:

•    Knowledge of Alteryx for data automation and transformation.

•    Familiarity with Google Big Query for cloud-based data analysis.

•    Experience with Azure Data Factory for data integration and pipeline development.

•    Exposure to SAP Datasphere for enterprise data connectivity and governance.

•    Experience in Beauty Industry, FMCG or Retail.
