Legal Intern

Novicap is an end-to-end working capital solutions provider focused on enabling CFOs/Finance teams of SMEs to pay their suppliers and collect from their customers. This includes short-term credit (factoring, supply chain finance and loans) and payment automation solutions.

With offices in Barcelona and Madrid, we are currently looking for a
Legal Intern
who wants to join our team. You will assist us in all our legal matters, from legal research to litigation assistance.

What will you do?

As mentioned, you will assist us in all our legal matters, from legal research to litigation assistance.

In order to achieve your mission, you will:

• Legal Research:
  Assist the General Counsel and legal team with legal research and analysis across various jurisdictions (e.g., Spanish, UK) on corporate, commercial, and financial law matters.
• Litigation and Debt Recovery Support:
  Assist the Recoveries team with the preparation of documentation for judicial and extrajudicial claims and debt collection proceedings..
• Case Management:
  Organize and track legal and recovery case files, ensuring all documentation is accurately recorded and deadlines are met.
• Contract Management
  : Support the drafting, review, and management of commercial agreements, including NDAs, service agreements, and financial documentation.
• General Legal Administration
  : Provide administrative support to the Legal Department.

In doing so, you will contribute to the achievement of Novicap's long-term growth plans

Who will you be working with?

You will report directly to the General Counsel and work closely with the rest of the Legal and Collections teams across Madrid, Barcelona and the rest of Spain. We are a young and dynamic team that's waiting for you with arms open

You are the right fit if you:

• Are currently pursuing a Law Degree (Grado en Derecho), a Master's in Law (Máster de Acceso a la Abogacía), or related postgraduate studies and are able to sign a Curricular or Extracurricular Internship Agreement with a recognized university or educational institution.
• Have the ability to anticipate needs, take ownership of tasks, and propose solutions without constant supervision.
• Have a high level of professionalism and integrity
• Have strong communication skills
• Are adaptable, resilient and a team player
• Excellent command of Spanish and English (both written and spoken) is mandatory.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a proactive attitude.
• Proficiency in Google Workspace environment and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Bonus points if you:

• Previous internship experience or knowledge in Financial Law, Commercial Law, or Debt Recovery.
• Familiarity with the FinTech sector or alternative finance.
