The Director, Human Resources - Europe will be responsible for enabling the talent strategy, execution of HR programs, and for establishing people practices that position Boats Group and Click & Boat as a career destination and employer of choice. This role will provide consultation to entry, mid and senior-level leadership on company initiatives, performance management, organizational design and operating models, and provide thought partnership to our HR Operations team.
This role is not only an HR expert and a people champion, but also a change agent and a strategic partner for the business. Together with the Boats Group leaders, the HR Director will work on setting priorities, driving value, and delivering business results. The HR Director role is critical to the success of a great work environment and ensures staff have what they need to succeed at Boats Group

What You'll Do
People Strategy & Organizational Development
- Define, lead and execute the People strategy across Europe within the Boats Group framework.
- Partner closely with local Executive Leadership to support business growth, organization design and workforce planning across Europe.
- Ensure alignment of HR policies, culture and practices across offices / entities while respecting local regulations and business needs.
- Act as a strategic advisor to leadership teams on performance management, leadership development, talent reviews and succession planning.
- Support managers on organizational topics: team structures, role clarity, engagement, conflict management.
- Drive alignment and collaboration between teams and countries.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle: onboarding, development, performance evaluation, compensation, internal mobility and offboarding.
- Guarantee consistency and fairness in compensation practices, in line with collective agreements, internal policies and market benchmarks.
- Supervise payroll processes at European level through People Partners and HR Ops teams.
- Ensure compliance with local labor laws in Europe, as well as GDPR and internal Boats Group standards.
- Lead employee relations matters, performance and disciplinary procedures, and manage complex exits.
- Oversee CSE/works council relations in France and align social dialogue strategy at European level.
- Maintain and update HR policies, internal regulations and employment documentation.
- Promote and strengthen culture of ownership, collaboration, performance and customer focus within Boats Group.
- Lead engagement surveys, action plans and well-being initiatives.
- Ensure consistent and transparent internal communication across countries.
- Partner with the Lead Recruitment to ensure a consistent employer value proposition across Europe.
- Support market positioning, team storytelling and talent community engagement.
- Lead and grow the European HR team (Lead Recruitment, HR Ops).
- Define priorities, structure roles and develop capabilities in business partnering, HR operations and strategic HR.
- Foster a culture of trust, collaboration and continuous improvement.
What You'll Bring
- 10+ years experience in HR roles, including People leadership in a multi-country environment.
- Strong experience in change management, organizational development and leadership advisory.
- In-depth knowledge of European labor environments (France and Spain especially).
- Ability to influence, communicate and build trust with senior stakeholders.
- Fluent in English (company working language). French and/or Spanish strongly preferred.
