Insectius is building a decentralized network of modular Black Soldier Fly (BSF) farms inside 40ft containers, powered by our farm-management SaaS, We're hiring a hands-on, execution-driven COO who can turn strategy into operational excellence across production, logistics, manufacturing, supply chain, and global deployments.

What you'll do

  • Oversee day-to-day operations across the entire network of container farms, ensuring reliability, quality, and efficiency.
  • Drive industrial scalability by building robust SOPs, QA systems, operational metrics, and repeatable playbooks.
  • Own the full international supply chain, including: Packaging,
    manufacturing, global logistics (freight, forwarders, insurance, customs clearance, tariffs, and all import/export documentation)
  • Manage internal logistics: inventory, stock rotation, consumables, assembly kits, technical components, and EU/Asia suppliers.
  • Lead deployment of new modular farms: container setup, technical coordination, commissioning, and delivery timelines.
  • Ensure flawless execution of the franchise/integrator model through standardization, operational audits, and KPI-driven processes.
  • Support founders in strategic decisions, expansion planning, and operational roadmap development.
  • Build and lead the operations organization, including procurement, logistics, quality, and field operations.

What you'll bring

  • Proven experience as COO / Director of Operations in a startup or scaleup environment (industrial, hardware, biotech, foodtech, or supply chain).
  • Hands-on experience with China manufacturing, including packaging production, sourcing, and quality control.
  • Strong expertise in global logistics, INCOTERMS, customs, tariffs, compliance, and international freight workflows.
  • Demonstrated ability to design and implement processes from scratch and bring structure to complex operations.
  • Experience managing multi-stakeholder, technical projects across suppliers, production partners, and multiple sites.
  • Analytical mindset with a KPI-driven approach to operations.
  • Fluency in English and Spanish; Catalan is a plus.
