The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) position is part of the Med/Surg Department. This is a full-time position working approximately 72 hours per two-week pay period. The primary shift is 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM, with the schedule potentially including a combination of 12- and 8-hour shifts. Weekend and holiday rotation is required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a recognized one-year Practical Nurse Program with State Board of Nursing licensure

  • BLS certification required

  • IV certification required

  • Hospital experience and departmental experience preferred

  • Demonstrates initiative, enthusiasm, and professionalism

  • Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with team members

  • Commitment to patient-centered care, customer service, and maintaining standards of practice

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct nursing care to patients within the Med/Surg unit and assist other departments as assigned

  • Systematically assess patient needs, develop care plans, and provide quality, individualized care

  • Perform technical nursing functions in accordance with professional standards

  • Coordinate and evaluate care while ensuring a safe and efficient environment

  • Promote teamwork and collaborate effectively with physicians and personnel from other departments

  • Uphold the standards of practice for professional nursing across all assigned patient populations
