We are seeking an
Environmental Senior Expert
to join our international team.
Main responsibilities
- Promote, maintain and implement the Corporate and CE Environmental Policy and the guidelines which derive from it, considering them in the corresponding Environmental Plan of the workplace.
- Collaborate in the execution of the Annual Internal Audit Plan.
- Ensure compliance of environmental regulations and procedures at all levels of the workplace.
- Develop the Environment Management System in the workplace and ensure that it adjusts to current legislation, by conducting internal and external audits in order to achieve and/or maintain the ISO-14001 certification.
- Give support in the investigation of every environmental incident that takes place at the Subsidiary.
- Maintain and update the skills of the employees (managers, supervisors and operators) in the workplace regarding Environment.
- Investigate working places, facilities and equipment under their responsibility to make sure that Environmental Aspects are updated.
- Comply with MAXAM Safety, Quality, Environment & Security Policy, as well as ensure staff compliance with Company Policies, Procedures and Processes.
Required skills
- University Degree (Environmental Science) or Master of Engineering in Environmental Science. IRCA/ IATCA lead auditor.
- 10 Years of experience, with a minimum of three years' working on environmental activities, waste management, emissions treatment and environmental risk assessment, in industrial sectors such as Chemicals, Mining or Explosives Manufacturing
- Knowledge of Environmental audit according to ISO 14001.
- Fluent in Spanish and English, other languages are valued.
- Willingness to travel up to 30% - 50% of the time
