Role Summary:
A strategic leader role overseeing the Schneider Electric (SE) Global Business Travel Expense (BTEX) Governance program for the SE EUROPE-AFRICA region.
This
digitally minded individual
will be responsible for directing the development and implementation of global-regional
business travel and expense
strategies, ensuring effective service delivery—including group travel—adherence to policies, traveler safety, process improvement, and a streamlined, digitized user experience.
This regional leader will report to the VP of Global Business Travel and Expense (T&E) Governance with a dotted functional line to the BTEX Global Travel Operations and Expense Tower leaders. This role entails the following core duties and leadership accountabilities:
Key responsibilities:
- Develop a strategic EUROPE-AFRICA regional travel program development and service operation plan aligned to the Global SE BTEX imperatives;
this plan should serve as a strategic roadmap to achieve business priorities, execute key initiatives, drive process optimization, take digitization to the next level and foster cross-functional alignment - Oversee the end-to-end Business Travel & Expense (T&E) management operations
, encompassing all aspects of business travel processes, technology tools and solutions, travel vendor relationship management and services. - Collaborate with travel services providers/vendors and cross-functional teams
to implement standardized BTEX processes that enhance traveler services and ensure policy-compliant bookings. - Design and manage end

that enhance operational effectiveness and organizational alignment. Experienced in developing meeting policies, optimizing processes, and establishing best practices that elevate the quality, consistency, and impact of meetings across global teams. - Partner with internal teams—
Procurement, Finance, Global Security, Digital, Compliance and others
—to ensure seamless delivery of BTEX programs and services for SE business travelers. - Drive key stakeholder engagement and embed business partnering across SE departments;
fostering collaboration, advising strategically, influencing decisions, and ensuring KPIs are met. - Optimize business traveler services and collaborate with SE Digital to enhance automation, address technology limitations, implement remediation plans as needed and champion T&E services innovation
- Leverage data analysis and data-storytelling to present actionable insights
on business traveler spend, driving policy-compliant behaviors and program improvement. - Manage daily relationships with key travel services providers,
ensuring SLA performance, timely issue resolution, accurate reporting, and consistent policy compliance. - Optimize T&E costs and equip business units with actionable budget plans
and employee policy adherence strategies. Lead high-impact global and regional initiatives that deliver strategic value
to the company and enhance the business traveler experienceOutlined below are the primary regional process ownership job scope responsibilities and capabilities expectations:
- Manage T&E Program governance for SE Europe-Africa, ensuring regional program nuances are addressed and requirements met.
- Lead and support operational plans and process optimization for Business Travel & Expense, aligned with global, regional, and local requirements.
- Oversee the design and implementation of advanced travel process flows and technologies to enhance service quality, strengthen policy compliance, elevate traveler experience, and improve operational interlock efficiency across SE functions

end meeting governance frameworks and policies that enhance operational effectiveness and organizational alignment - Maintain a proactive partnership with T&E service and tech providers to drive continuous program improvement and deliver value for SE
- Manage strategic travel vendor relationships and programs across all service categories, including travel agency, airline, hotel, card payment, and ground transportation
- Provide expertise in the latest travel technologies, including payment, data/BI and self-booking tools (from buying channels to expense management solutions).
- Manage travel information platforms and deliver targeted training to travelers and arrangers to ensure program awareness and compliance
- Partner with Procurement and SE departments to drive savings, enhance end-to-end services, and implement best practices across the business travel program
- Monitor, benchmark, and report on travel spend and compliance.
- Develop and present periodic travel program reports with T&E budget and cost optimization forecast analysis to key stakeholders.
- Coordinate with Global Security to align roles and processes for traveler safety, especially during emergency incidents.

Professional Qualifications and Core Competencies Background:
- Minimum of bachelor's degree. MBA a plus
- Business management experience
in the following relevant fields:
corporate travel management, travel technology, business administration, management consulting, procurement/corporate buyer and finance - At a minimum of 3-5 years corporate travel industry knowledge
- Strong
understanding of business travel management ecosystems
