ROLE SUMMARY:

Sotogrande International School is seeking an experienced and passionate educator to join our international learning community as a Teacher of MYP Individuals & Societies (I&S) with DP Psychology. This is an exciting opportunity to work within a dynamic IB World School that values inquiry, innovation, and collaboration. The successful candidate will inspire students to become critical thinkers and globally minded learners through engaging, concept-driven teaching.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Plan and deliver engaging MYP I&S lessons aligned with IB frameworks and philosophy
  • Teach IB DP Psychology at Standard and Higher Level
  • Design and develop effective digital resources and eAssessments to support learning and progress
  • Collaborate with colleagues on the creation, review, and refinement of MYP unit planners
  • Support students through Extended Essays in Psychology and/or interdisciplinary subjects
  • Actively participate in departmental planning, assessment moderation, and reflective practice

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:

  • A strong commitment to IB philosophy, inquiry-based learning, and student agency
  • Proven experience teaching MYP Individuals & Societies
  • Essential experience delivering IB DP Psychology at SL and HL
  • Confidence in applying interdisciplinary and conceptual approaches within the human sciences
  • High levels of technological proficiency, including digital assessment tools (e.g. AssessPrep or similar)
  • A collaborative mindset with the ability to contribute positively to a team-oriented department
