The AB Business Buying and Purchase Experience team charters are to make Amazon Business the default discovery, evaluation and purchase destination for business commerce. The team enables all business customers (SMB to Enterprise, Sole Prop buyers and procurement managers), to discover and purchase products that fulfills their needs for purchase missions/intents through continuous and iterative delivery of contextual search experiences and search results. Optimizing experiences for Amazon Business customers is critical to help customer purchases be efficient and simple.
The growth of the business and the increasing complexity of the customer traffic make this role an exciting, interesting, and very challenging proposition. Expect to get involved in supporting new projects and initiatives, driving performance, and help building plans for the future.
Key job responsibilities
- Drive and deliver multiple complex projects simultaneously
- Provide project leadership, anticipate bottlenecks, mitigate project risks, quantify the impact of making tradeoffs, and balance business needs against technical constraints
- Work closely with stakeholders across various design, software and business teams to identify and drive innovative solutions that achieve business goals and align with long-term product roadmaps
- Lead cross functional development teams from design through delivery
- Accountable for driving the entire product lifecycle, from product definition through specification, coding, quality assurance, data security and privacy, and launch to the world
- Communicate with senior leadership on status, risks and change control
Basic Qualifications
- Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition
- Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product
- Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning
- Experience in technical product management, program management or engineering
- Experience owning feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product
- Experience with end to end product delivery
Preferred Qualifications
- MBA
- Experience in using analytical tools, such as Tableau, Qlikview, QuickSight
- Experience bridging technical and business teams to collect and refine requirements, prioritize incoming work requests, and ensure all committed work is delivered on time
