global and continuous connectivity
to all the elements that will make up the massive Internet of Things
(IoT) universe under the 5G protocol

In order to do so, Sateliot is launching a
constellation of last generation nanosatellites
, located at low altitude that act as mobile towers. Sateliot is the perfect complement for large telecommunications companies by providing them with the necessary infrastructure where terrestrial technologies do not arrive.

YOUR MISSION

Your primary mission will be to
drive an "automation-first" culture
and engineer the solutions that allow us to scale for our next phases. Operating under a "Guild" model, you will embed yourself within these technical teams to understand their daily work, identify bottlenecks, and build automated solutions.

You will be the key enabler who transforms their workflows: converting repetitive manual tasks into robust scripts, developing custom applications, building CI/CD pipelines, and implementing IaC for new infrastructure. Your work will be fundamental to improve our overall developer efficiency and ensure our satellite constellation scales effectively.

YOUR MAIN FUNCTIONS

  • Process Analysis & Automation:
    Sit with User, Ground, and Space Segment teams to understand their daily operations, manual procedures, and pain points. Identify, design, and implement automated solutions.
  • Tool Development and Scripting:
    Create custom tools and applications (primarily
    Python
    ) and scripts (
    Bash
    ) that automate complex processes. This includes, but is not limited to, log parsing, E2E test orchestration, and managing data workflows for our satellites and ground stations.
  • CI/CD Pipelines:
    Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines (using GitHub Actions) to ensure agile and reliable software integration and delivery, with a special focus on building and deploying firmware for our space subsystems.
  • Infrastructure Automation:
    Design, build, and maintain infrastructure solutions in AWS (EC2, EKS, IAM, RDS, S3) using IaC tools like Terraform and Ansible to support the new automated processes.
  • AI/ML Workflow Implementation:
    In collaboration with other teams, explore and implement AI-driven workflows to accelerate the analysis of logs, telemetry, and sensor data.
  • Cloud Network Management:
    Formulate and maintain network solutions in AWS, including VPCs, VPC peerings, Transit Gateways, and IPSec VPNs. Connect these cloud environments with our labs and field tests using secure solutions (e.g. Tailscale).
  • Monitoring and Observability:
    Develop and implement monitoring, logging, and metrics solutions (using Grafana stack and ELK) to ensure system health, performance, and uptime.
  • Collaboration and Integration:
    Work with Ground Station providers and operators (MNOs/MVNOs) to design and initiate the necessary network interfaces (VPNs, direct links, APIs).
  • Best Practices:
    Actively promote software engineering best practices, including version control (Git), testing, code reviews, and documentation, to help other teams adopt them.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Programming and Scripting:
    An "automation-first" mindset.
    Strong programming skills in Python
    to build applications and tools.
    Expert proficiency in scripting (Bash)

  • Experience:
    At least 3 years of experience as a DevOps, Platform, or Automation Engineer.
  • Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
    Expert command of Terraform and/or Ansible.
  • Cloud (AWS):
    Deep knowledge of AWS services (EC2, EKS, IAM, RDS, S3) and networking (VPC, VPC Peering, Transit Gateways).
  • CI/CD:
    Competence in integration and deployment using CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions or similar).
  • Containers:
    Experience in developing and deploying containerized applications (Docker/Podman) and orchestration with Kubernetes (k8s).
  • Networking:
    Strong understanding of networking concepts and the ability to automate network configurations and troubleshoot (IP routing, subnetting, iptables, etc.).
  • Observability:
    Competence in monitoring, logging, and metrics using the Grafana stack or ELK.
  • Operating Systems:
    Solid experience in Linux server administration.
  • Methodologies:
    Knowledge of software engineering best practices (Git, testing, code reviews, documentation).

NICE TO HAVE

  • Experience in the space or telecommunications industry.
  • Experience with AI/ML workflows for data analysis.
  • Experience in developing 4G/5G core networks or familiarity with concepts like MME, HSS, S6a, S8, AMF, SMF.
  • Broader software development experience (C/C++, PHP).
