missions:

The Head of Legal for Sephora Iberia leads and manages all legal affairs for the company in Spain

and Portugal. This position is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance, mitigating legal

risks, and providing expert advice to all business areas. Furthermore, as Company Secretary, this

role will organize and manage all corporate secretarial duties.

  • Strategic Legal Advice: Provide proactive and strategic legal advice to the Executive

Committee and business teams on commercial law, contract law, data protection (GDPR),

competition and consumer laws, real estate, digital marketing, and Ethics & compliance.

  • Company Secretary: Provide expert legal advice and support to the Board of Directors

and senior management on all aspects of corporate governance. Manage the preparation,

review, and dissemination of the board of directors and shareholders meeting materials,

agendas, and minutes. Ensure accurate corporate record-keeping and manage corporate

secretarial functions. Ensure compliance with local laws and regulations

  • Contractual Management: Negotiate, draft, and review all types of commercial contracts

(distribution, suppliers, partners, leases, services, technology, etc.), safeguarding the

company's interests and minimizing risks.

  • Ethics & Compliance: Be the Ethics & Compliance correspondent, deploy Sephora's

global Ethics and Compliance program roadmaps with the support of the local E&C

committee and ensure compliance with regulations in Spain and Portugal related to

business ethics, duty of care.

  • Litigation and Claims: Manage and supervise litigation, claims, and legal disputes,

coordinating with external counsel when necessary and representing Sephora's interests.

  • Data Protection: Act as the primary reference for data protection matters, ensuring

compliance with GDPR and local regulations, and managing relationships with relevant

supervisory authorities.

  • Training and Awareness: Develop and deliver internal training on relevant legal and

compliance topics for business teams, fostering a culture of compliance and ethics.

  • Authority Relations: Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and government

bodies when necessary.

  • External Counsel Management: Select, coordinate, and supervise the work of external

legal advisors, optimizing costs and ensuring service quality.

  • Reports and Reporting: Periodically report on the status of legal matters to General

Management and to the Global General Counsel and her team

  • Education: Law Degree from a prestigious university. Membership in the Spanish Bar

Association is a plus. A Master of Laws (LL.M.) or specialization in relevant areas will be

highly valued.

  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of professional experience as a lawyer, preferably with

a combination of experience in top-tier law firms and as in-house counsel in a multinational

company, ideally in the retail, luxury, or consumer goods sector.

  • Languages: Fluent in Spanish and English (spoken and written) is essential. Proficiency

in French will be highly valued.

  • Knowledge: Solid knowledge of commercial law, contract law, competition law, marketing

& promotion practices, sustainability topics, lease agreements, corporate law, data

protection (GDPR), and compliance. Knowledge of the legal framework applicable to ecommerce

and digital marketing.

  • Skills:

environment.
