Job Summary
We are searching for a Product Engineer to join a climate-tech startup based in Barcelona, developing advanced AI systems to accelerate global decarbonization. The company blends deep scientific research, AI engineering, and operational expertise to help industrial partners reduce emissions at scale. Their platform processes complex data in real time, providing actionable insights that drive measurable environmental outcomes.
In this role, you'll build and own end-to-end product features for AI-powered applications used by energy, mobility, and industrial teams worldwide. You'll work at the intersection of product, engineering, and environmental science—designing intuitive tools, building scalable systems, and solving technical challenges tied to sustainability, high-frequency data, and model integration. The team values autonomy, fast iteration, and a strong sense of mission.
In this role, you will
Lead the development of full-stack solutions, from designing intuitive user interfaces to crafting robust backend systems.Collaborate with cross-functional teams—AI researchers, climate scientists, and data engineers—to integrate models into practical, user-centric tools.Architect scalable, maintainable systems capable of handling high-volume environmental and industrial data.Experiment with and implement modern frameworks, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.Mentor junior developers, helping cultivate a culture of growth, clarity, and high technical standards.Automate and optimize workflows to deliver faster, more reliable solutions for internal teams and external users.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Strong theoretical and practical knowledge of computer science foundations.Strong knowledge of core web technologies like React, , Tailwind, and Typescript. Familiarity with Python and AWS is a plus.Passion for both AI/LLMs and user experience and design.A commitment to collaborative teamwork, continuous growth, and constructive feedback-seeking.Experience working at early-stage startups is a plus.
