We are looking for our future ATA24 and ATA92 Systems Engineer to participate in design activities within Airbus Air Power. If you enjoy working in a technical environment, wish to contribute to the certification of new designs, and are ready to make tomorrow's aviation safer, then join our community of experts where your role will be a keystone in the electrical system development process.
Your main responsibilities will be to:*- Collaborate on the architectural definition of the electric drive system (electrical machine and its controller) and the equipment system design to ensure safe and successful in-flight operation.
- Participate in the integration of equipment and systems at the aircraft level, including physical integration (DMU evaluation) and managing environmental and safety requirements.
- Conduct safety analyses, such as cascading POD requirements to equipment/systems, reviewing compliance, analyzing the impact of fire zone reclassification, and studying the behavior of degraded electrical drive system (EDS) functions.
- Support design and integration activities to identify failure scenarios, understand their relationship to aircraft and safety, and define interfaces with the aircraft and propulsion system needs.
- Manage system requirements and learning needs (central roadmap, follow-up, etc.).
- Create and review supplier data for analyses like FMEA, FMES, IHA, and (P)SSA.
- Support suppliers with the technical development of the electrical system, ensuring its proper integration and compliance with safety analyses.
Required Skills And Experience
Education : A university degree in Engineering with at least 5 years of experience as a system engineer, demonstrating full autonomy in managing project activities.
Technical Expertise : General knowledge of electrical systems,
- particularly generators, motors, and controllers. Proven experience in integrating equipment and systems at the aircraft level, as well as in system safety related to aircraft safety.
- Soft Skills : You must be highly curious and proactive with a strong sense of initiative, autonomy, flexibility, and integrity, capable of handling confidential topics. You should have a strong team spirit, be a good networker, and possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Languages : English at a negotiation level is essential. A good level of Spanish is a plus.
Desirable Skills:
Familiarity with the Verification and Validation (V&V) process (requirements cascade, compliance, non-conformance management, traceability).
Experience with DOORS.
- Knowledge of normal operation and failure mode analysis.
- Basic knowledge of the TRL (Technology Readiness Level) system.
- Project management skills to lead local projects with external partners.
