YOUR MISSION

As our Sr Finance Lead for Africa, you will work closely with the Director of Finance Africa as a key strategic partner in driving Glovo Africa's financial planning, performance steering, and decision-making. Collaborating with local Heads of Finance and supporting General Managers through data-driven insights, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the financial health, strategic direction, and long-term success of one of Glovo's fastest-growing and most strategic regions.

THE JOURNEY

  • Oversee financial strategy, treasury and accounting across our African markets, working closely with local Heads of Finance and General Managers.
  • Deliver insights, proactively identify opportunities, and challenge the status quo to shape the future of our business.
  • Own and steer the regional P&L, from revenue levers to cost optimization.
  • Lead annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and monthly performance reviews, partnering with all departments to drive transparency and accountability.
  • Develop business cases, scenario analyses, and predictive models to guide expansion, commercial strategy, operational optimisation and innovation efforts.
  • Partner with the central finance, strategy, and data teams to ensure alignment and best-in-class execution.
  • Own process improvement and the finance operations roadmap in collaboration with local and global stakeholders.
  • Support and oversee treasury and accounting needs as well as monitor and prepare financial policies and Financial Statements.
  • Supervise the relationship with third parties: external auditors, administrations, external consultants as required.
  • Represent the region in international forums, sharing learnings and helping shape Glovo's global playbook.

WHAT YOU WILL BRING TO THE RIDE

  • 6-10+ years' experience in Finance, Strategy, Consulting, or equivalent high-impact environments.
  • Proven experience in senior leadership roles, with full P&L exposure and cross-functional business acumen.
  • Track record in leading high-performing teams, including recruiting and developing top talent.
  • Strong exposure to high-growth, tech, e-commerce, or marketplace environments.
  • Background in strategy consulting (e.g., MBB) and/or CFO-track roles in fast-paced companies is a strong plus.
  • Fluency in English is required.
