As a Public Policy Analyst on Lenovos Government Relations team, you will be part of a team working on global engagements related to artificial intelligence, sustainability, and trade. These are fast-evolving areas where technology, geopolitics, and economic policy intersect. Youll combine intellectual curiosity with sharp organizational skills to support various international policy initiatives. This entails translating external policy developments into actionable insights for our business to help protect market access and amplify Lenovos voice in global discussions surrounding technology, innovation, and AI.
In this role, you will contribute to our global affairs work by tracking policy trends, supporting advocacy strategies, and collaborating across teams to advance Lenovos public policy priorities worldwide.
Responsibilities
- Track and analyze global policy and regulatory developments in AI, sustainability, and trade, providing clear and timely insights to internal teams.
- Prepare briefing materials and talking points for engagements with governments, regulators, industry groups, and international organizations.
- Support the planning and execution of policy events such as roundtables, workshops, panels, webinars, and high-level engagements.
- Maintain and update internal trackers on legislative, regulatory, and institutional developments across geographies.
- Contribute to policy campaigns, newsletters, white papers, and public consultations by drafting materials to help advance Lenovos global thought leadership.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with Legal, ESG, Communications, and other teams to align and communicate Lenovos global policy positions.
What You Bring
- Bachelors degree in international relations, economics, law, political science, or related field (Masters preferred).
- 35 years of experience in government affairs, public sector, or international organizations.
- Strong interest in technology policy, sustainability, trade, and global affairs.
- Excellent research, writing, and communication skills with ability to simplify complex topics.
- Skilled in diplomacy and cross-cultural engagement with global policymakers.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and work collaboratively across teams.
- Professional English proficiency; additional EU languages strongly preferred; 1015% travel expected.
- Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, policy event coordination, and international stakeholder engagement
