Job Description:

Join Axel Hotels as 
Chief Development Officer
 and drive our global expansion across Europe and the Americas. You will lead the execution of our growth strategy by securing new hotel management agreements (HMA) and lease contracts, identifying prime real estate opportunities, and building strong relationships with property owners, family offices, and investment funds. A strategic mindset and proven negotiation skills are key to success in this role

Mission:

Reporting directly to the CEO, lead the execution of Axel Hotels' global expansion plan, ensuring the company's sustainable growth by identifying, negotiating and closing new operating contracts under HMA (Hotel Management Agreement) and Lease formats in strategic markets in Europe and America, acting as the main driver of real estate opportunities and alliances with owners and investment funds.

Functions:

Strategic Development and Planning

  • Consolidate market development in areas defined by the company in Europe and the Americas, establishing annual growth targets.
  • Develop business cases for each opportunity, including financial analysis, risk assessment, and projections.

Opportunity Identification and Acquisition

  • Actively prospect for hotels and buildings suitable for the Axel Hotels brand.
  • Contact owners, family offices, and investment funds directly to present proposals.
  • Analyze existing contracts in the market and identify conversion or repositioning opportunities.

Contract Negotiation and Closing

  • Negotiate the terms and conditions of Hotel Management Agreements (HMAs) and lease agreements.
  • Coordinate with the legal department for the drafting and review of contracts.
  • Ensure that each agreement complies with the company's financial and operational standards.

Strategic Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain a strong network of contacts in the hospitality and real estate sectors.
  • Represent Axel Hotels at international trade shows, roadshows, and corporate events.
  • Act as a point of reference for investors and strategic partners.

Asset Evaluation and Due Diligence

  • Oversee technical, financial, and legal feasibility studies for each project.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (finance, operations, architecture) to validate each opportunity.
  • Ensure that projects meet brand standards and profitability expectations.

Reporting and Monitoring

  • Prepare monthly pipeline reports from inception, including the status of negotiations and projections.
  • Keep the corporate CRM updated with all opportunities and contacts.

Candidate Profile:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in business administration, Economics, Tourism, or related field. MBA preferred.
  • Experience: Proven track record in business development within the hotel sector, with experience in HMA and lease agreements. Experience in European and American markets. Solid knowledge of the real estate sector and negotiation skills with owners and investment funds.
  • Languages: Fluent in English and Spanish (other languages preferred).
  • Availability: For frequent international travel.
