Descripción
We are currently seeking a Technical Business Analyst to bridge the gap between business needs and technical solutions. As a Technical Business Analyst at Sage, you will analyze requirements, define compliance-focused solutions, and work closely with engineering teams to deliver high-quality products.

The ideal candidate will have a strong analytical mindset, excellent communication skills, and the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.

*** Please note that this role is hybrid and will require you to work 3 days a week from our Barcelona office. ***

Responsabilidades principales

  • Provide compliant solutions for global tax calculation, determination, and reporting.
  • Simplify complex solutions and communicate clearly to bridge business and technical teams.
  • Design reporting user journeys by breaking down functionality into APIs, with a strong focus on backend services and component-based patterns.
  • Define and enforce standards that drive consistency across compliance platform implementations.
  • Ensure UX complies with company standards while addressing technical aspects of API design, including security and performance.
  • Analyze business problems, defining high-level solutions, and ensuring clear documentation.
  • Collaborate on system architecture and platform design, while writing and maintaining user stories and API specifications.
  • Create ad-hoc documents, diagrams, and onboarding materials for third-party integrations.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of tax-related products, with a solid understanding of tax compliance and regulations.
  • Experience in decomposing functionality into APIs, with a strong focus on backend services and their differences from UI workflows.
  • Proven ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions for engineering teams.
  • Familiarity with programming languages such as Java, .NET, and Ruby on Rails.
