At ABCDx, we are at the forefront of decoding chemical messages from the brain, known as brain biomarkers, enabling us to help diagnose brain injuries from just a single drop of blood.

This clinically validated method positions us as leaders in this particular digital health field, and we invite you to be a part of this transformative journey. Our medical device includes a mobile App (React Native) and web (React + TypeScript + Vite), currently running on an AWS back-end managed by a subcontractor. We are now seeking to build and migrate to our own infrastructure. In this internship as AWS Back-End Developer you will own this project and ideally have it developed and implemented at the end of it.

You will work in a dynamic environment, supported by a cross-functional team to ensure the seamless integration of technology and health care, ultimately making a significant impact on patient outcomes. How you´ll make a difference
  • Lead and execute a project to migrate from the subcontractor's system to the new in-house infrastructure.
  • Design and implement an AWS back-end system for our medical web and mobile applications.
  • Ensure compliance with EN IEC 62304 through the development process, including security measures to safeguard sensitive medical data.
  • Develop and maintain APIs to support mobile applications and interfaces.
  • Participate in system architecture discussions and contribute to technical documentation.
  • Conduct code reviews to maintain code quality and standards.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience as a Back-End Developer, preferably in medical devices or health care.
  • Strong proficiency in back-end development with AWS (healthcare AWS preferred).
  • Ideally, experience in medical software development and working under EN IEC 62304.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
