The Role

Develop high-quality proposals across food, agriculture, and the circular bioeconomy. One week you might dive into plant health, the next into green chemistry or biotechnology—each project brings a new challenge. You'll spend two collaborative days each week at Innovarum's Madrid office and three days working remotely, always with flexibility and trust.

Your core mission: lead the creation of competitive EU proposals that influence Europe's innovation landscape.

Your Main Responsibilities

  • Drive the writing and coordination of major EU grant proposals in sustainable agrifood, biotech, and circular bioeconomy topics.
  • Bring experience with at least one successfully funded European proposal.
  • Guide projects from idea to delivery, supporting all development stages.
  • Collaborate with experts and innovators across Europe's food systems, green chemistry, and biotech sectors.

Ideal Background

  • Degree in Engineering, Agronomy, Biotechnology, Food Technology, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in grant writing for agrifood, biotech, or bioeconomy programs (
    Horizon Europe, CBE JU, Cluster 6, Mission Soil
    ). Senior writers with leadership in successful proposals will feel right at home.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent command (C2 level) of both English and Spanish.
  • Availability to work from the Madrid office at least two days per week.
  • Experience in project management is an advantage.
