Job Summary
As an Indirect Sales Specialist, you will play a key role in driving sales growth and support the areas where sales are made through commission agents or distributors. You will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, providing technical support to customers and distributors, and representing CONMED at national congresses. Directly working with the Business Unit Director, this role is focused on the sales development of the assigned areas.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a Sales Plan, including tactics and strategies related to advertising, sales training, customer programs, customer information, promotions and product releases in the sales area.
- Provide technical information, facilitate technical expertise and support to customers and distributors on product status, specifications and capabilities.
- Follow up of activities (promotions, visits, sales, demos) and sales pipeline
- Prepare and give business reviews and presentations to the senior management team including reporting
- Develop and use CRM tools to manage customer data.
- Sales analysis, sales support, reporting and monitoring the product lines under his/her responsibility.
- Tenders' leadership and preparation of commercial quote, sales agreement and evaluation agreement responsibility.
- Provide product training, demonstrations and presentations and conduct field demonstrations and OR.
- Coordinate with local distributors on regulatory matters in close collaboration with the Regulatory Affairs team.
- Advise customers on product usage and capabilities.
- Perform other duties and special projects as assigned.
- Participate in national congresses, medical education programs (cadaver-labs) and meetings, providing product information and live demonstrations.
- Interaction with marketing team for: marketing actions in the areas, MedEd support in labs and activities, MedEd coordination, travel activity in the areas, product promotion, KOLs relationship and 1:1 meeting with agents.
Qualifications
- Degree in Health Sciences or Business Administration.
- Solid sales experiences by owning dedicated sales revenue based on P&L monitoring.
- MBA or Master (preferred but not mandatory).
- 1–2 years of experience as a Sales Representative, Product Manager or Product Specialist within the medical device industry, ideally in arthroscopy, orthopedics or trauma.
- Proven knowledge and experience in Medical Devices.
- Solid background in sales and/or marketing.
- Strong communication skills in both Spanish and English, written and spoken.
- Proficiency with key business tools: Oracle, MS Office Suite, Salesforce, and Concur.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines.
- Efficient communication with appropriate internal stakeholders in a timely manner to develop the business
- High level of self-motivation, ownership, and ability to work both independently and within a team.
- Accountable for the sales forecast, sales budget and demand planning.
- Willingness and flexibility to travel frequently (30%).
