What is Embat?

Embat is one of the fastest-growing startups in Europe, founded in 2021 to revolutionize how medium and large-sized enterprises manage their finances and cash flow in real time. Our mission is to create a SaaS product that uses advanced technology and delivers excellent customer experiences, allowing our clients to make faster, better-informed business decisions, all while improving efficiency by over 100x compared to Excel.

We are a diverse team of 80+ members, backed by leading international investors, aiming to go global and make Embat a fantastic place to work. In February 2024, we completed our third funding round of €15 million, led by the renowned international fund Creandum, alongside partners Samaipata, 4Founders Capital, and VentureFriends.

The role

As
Banking Strategy & Operations Associate
, you'll work directly with the Head of EmbatOne to help scale the business.

Your mission will be to
help our clients make the most out of EmbatOne
, ensuring they get real value from the product, drive payment volumes, and helping improve our internal processes to make the business more efficient.

We're looking for a
smart, hands-on, and fast-learning operator
— someone who thrives in ambiguity, takes ownership, and enjoys moving between strategy and execution.

What you'll do?

• Make our clients successful with EmbatOne
  – ensure they get real value from the product, move fast through onboarding, and maximize their payment volumes.

• Drive adoption and engagement
  by understanding each client's workflows and helping them integrate EmbatOne into their daily treasury operations.

• Take ownership of operational execution
  – when needed, roll up your sleeves to upload data, configure accounts, or set up payments to keep things moving.

• Act as the
  main point of coordination
  between clients and internal teams (product, tech, support) to solve issues and improve processes.

• Document and continuously improve
  workflows — identify bottlenecks, streamline steps, and build scalable playbooks.

• Collect
  insights and feedback from clients
  to influence product decisions and shape our roadmap.

• Support
  strategic initiatives
  such as client analytics, reporting, or new feature launches.

• Occasionally
  join commercial or client meetings
  to represent EmbatOne and help expand our footprint.

Objectives

• Ensure clients derive maximum value from EmbatOne.

• Increase adoption, engagement, and payment volumes.

• Streamline and improve internal processes to scale operations efficiently.

• Collect actionable insights to inform product decisions and strategic growth initiatives.

Who we're looking for?

• Experience:
  2–3 years in
  consulting, business operations, or similar roles
  in fintech/startups.

• Preferred background:
  Strategy consulting firms (financial sector preferred), or experience in payments/treasury operations.

Technical skills (nice to have):

• Experience in
  banking, payments, or treasury operations
  .

• Familiarity with
  ERP systems
  such as Microsoft Business Central, Netsuite, or SAP.

Soft skills:

• Strong
  analytical and problem-structuring skills
  .

• Proven ability to
  learn quickly
  about complex financial or technical topics.

• High standards, intellectual curiosity, and humility
  .

• Bias for action
  – you enjoy taking ownership and seeing tangible results.

• Attention to
  detail, quality, and pragmatism

Languages:

• Fluent in
