We are looking for a strategic and execution-oriented Innovation Manager to join our Plasma Procurement team. This role is critical in driving strategic initiatives that improve efficiency, accessibility, and donor experience across our plasma donation network. You will be responsible for identifying high-impact opportunities, leading human-centered innovation projects, and collaborating across teams to implement scalable and measurable solutions to lead strategic initiatives that shape the future of our business.

What your responsibilities will be

  • Manage the Discover and Define phases of innovation projects
  • Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, workshops, and trend analysis to identify key opportunity areas
  • Facilitate ideation sessions and co-design processes to generate and prioritize innovative concepts. 
  • Translate research findings into problem statements, opportunity briefs, and solution concepts
  • Oversee the design, prototyping, and testing of new services. Collaborate with the team responsible for pilot execution, ensuring alignment and continuity from ideation to testing.
  • Track pilot progress, gather feedback, synthesize learnings, and recommend adjustments or scale-up strategies
  • Track startups, innovation hubs, universities, supercomputer organizations, etc to foster a spirit of collaboration and innovation
  • Report on innovation progress and project performance through clear KPIs and milestones. 
  • Foster a culture of innovation and continuous improvement across the department
  • In addition, this role will manage selected departmental projects in the role of Project Manager, ensuring their effective planning, execution, and delivery in alignment with broader strategic goals
  • Market Analysis & Customer Insights:

 - Conduct thorough market research to understand customer needs, preferences, and pain points.

- Analyze competitive landscapes and identify opportunities for differentiation.

- Gather and analyze customer feedback to inform service development decisions.

- Work with marketing teams and Plasma Customer Service to develop service positioning and messaging.

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Innovation, Engineering, Life Sciences, or related field. Master's degree or MBA preferred.
  • At least 5+ years of experience in innovation, strategy and project management roles
  • Strategic Thinking: Ability to connect innovation to long-term business priorities
  • Strong knowledge of customer-centric methodologies (Design Thinking, Service Design, Customer Journey Mapping, etc.) and innovation strategy frameworks.
  • Experience in project management, including planning, execution, monitoring, and stakeholder reporting.
  • Excellent facilitation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Comfortable navigating complexity, ambiguity, and working in cross-functional environments.
  • Experience working in complex, regulated industries (e.g., pharma, healthcare, biotech) is a plus.
  • Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and financial modeling skills.
  • Strong leadership, stakeholder engagement, and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to balance creativity with execution, and strategy with operational reality
  • English Proficiency: other languages (Spanish, German, etc.) are a plus.
  • Willingness to travel
  • Preferred:
    • Experience in healthcare, pharmaceuticals, or life sciences.
    • Familiarity with regulated environments and stakeholder alignment.
