Front of House and Sales Assistant - Bike Rental & Apparel Shop (Spanish and English required)

is seeking a friendly, enthusiastic, and knowledgeable Front of House team member to join our dynamic team. We are passionate about cycling and providing exceptional customer service, offering a wide range of rental bikes, apparel, and accessories to riders of all levels. If you have a passion for cycling, a knack for sales, and a desire to create a welcoming atmosphere, we want to hear from you The role is incredibly varied and 2 days can be very different in front of house or working on the shop floor
Position Summary:
The Front of House team member is the face of our shop, responsible for creating a positive and engaging customer experience. You will be the first point of contact, providing expert advice on our products, processing sales, and ensuring the shop floor is well-maintained and inviting. The duties are very broad but with a fun vibrant hard working team.
Key Responsibilities in order
- Customer Service & Sales:
- Greet and welcome customers, providing a friendly and helpful atmosphere.
- Check in Bike rental customers
- Create new bike rental bookings
- Assist customers in finding the right bikes, apparel, and accessories to meet their needs.
- Provide expert advice on product features, benefits, and compatibility.
- Process sales transactions accurately and efficiently using our point-of-sale system.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and returns professionally and efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
- Proactively engage with customers to drive sales.
- Shop Floor Management:
- Maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing shop floor.
- Ensure products are properly displayed and stocked.
- Control inventory management, including receiving and stocking new merchandise with support of Hub Manager
- Monitor and maintain shop security.
- Assist with shop displays and visual merchandising.
- Product Knowledge:
- Stay up-to-date on the latest bike and apparel trends, technologies, and products.
- Attend product training sessions and workshops as required.
- Share your knowledge and passion for cycling with customers.
- General Duties:
- Answer phone calls and respond to email inquiries.
- Assist with online order fulfillment.
- Support marketing and promotional activities.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the shop manager.
Qualifications:
Essential:
- Spanish and English. Other languages a benfit
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- A passion for cycling and a general knowledge of bikes and related products.
- Proven sales experience.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Proficiency with point-of-sale systems and basic computer skills.
- A positive and enthusiastic attitude.
Desirable:
- Previous experience in a retail environment, preferably in the cycling industry.
- Knowledge of bike mechanics and maintenance.
- Experience with online sales platforms.
