From Hays we are managing a Global Tax Director for an important industrial company based in Madrid.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Define and lead the tax strategy for Europe and Latam, ensuring consistent implementation of Group tax policies, standards and processes.
  2. Manage and develop local tax teams, ensuring technical accuracy, operational alignment and strategic coordination.
  3. Oversee all tax compliance and reporting across the region, including tax accounting processes and collaboration with external auditors.
  4. Lead tax audits in multiple jurisdictions, manage interactions with tax authorities, and define negotiation and appeal strategies.
  5. Identify, assess and mitigate tax risks, reinforcing internal controls and tax governance across the perimeter.
  6. Ensure the correct application, documentation and defense of the Group's Transfer Pricing policies.
  7. Act as a tax business partner for senior management and key stakeholders, providing guidance on strategic projects and identifying tax optimization opportunities.
  8. Monitor legislative and regulatory changes in Europe and Latam, assess their implications and communicate their impact internally.

Requirements:

  • At least 12 years of experience combining Big Four/consulting and in-house tax roles in industrial sector.
  • Experience leading tax teams across multiple countries in Europe and Latam.
  • English mandatory.
  • Strong technical knowledge of CIT, tax consolidation, VAT, Transfer Pricing, WHT and complex tax audits.
  • Proven experience negotiating with tax authorities across different jurisdictions.
  • International stakeholders management
  • Good comunication skills.
  • Resolutive and analytical.
