Role Overview

Do you want to be a part of reshaping the travel ecosystem? We're looking for a highly motivated Engineering Manager to lead and scale the teams the power our core platform and connectivity capabilities. You will play a pivotal role in building the technical backbone that enables direct integrations, real-time inventory access and seamless partner onboarding – all with a creative spin on automation and AI-driven infrastructure.

You will be responsible for the engineering vision, execution and leadership across mission-critical systems, ensuring our platform is resilient, scalable and continually delivering vale to both internal and external partners.

Main Responsibilities

Technical Leadership and Delivery

• Lead, mentor and grow high-performing engineering teams across back-end, platform, data and integrations.
• Lead execution on major initiatives including partner API integrations, contract ingestion and reconciliation via AI agents, performance optimizations, and platform automation.
• Ensure teams deliver high-quality features at pace, balancing innovation with reliability and long-term sustainability.
• Champion engineering excellence through code quality, testing, observability, documentation and continuous improvement.

Collaboration and Cross-functional Alignment

• Work closely with product and design to shape technical approaches, scope initiatives and sequence delivery.
• Translate product strategy and customer problems into clear technical plans and execution roadmaps.
• Collaborate with data, science, supply, operations, and commercial teams to deliver end-to-end solutions.
• Clearly communicate trade-offs, risks and progress to stakeholders and senior leadership.

Operational Excellence

• Own the health, performance and resilience of mission-critical systems across payments, distribution and partner tooling.
• Drive improvements in reliability, scalability, cost efficiency and developer productivity through automation and tooling.
• Define and track key engineering metrics across delivery velocity, system performance, quality and operational impact.
• Build frameworks and tooling that reduce onboarding friction and streamline partner integrations.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, with at least 2-3 years in an engineering leadership or management role.
• Strong background in API-based platforms, B2B SaaS, travel tech or high-scale integration environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams working with Go and JavaScript, setting engineering standards across backend and supporting services.
• Proven experience leading teams working on connectivity, integrations or real-time data systems.
• Deep understanding of backend engineering, distributed systems, cloud infrastructure and modern DevOps practices.
• Strong data-driven mindset; able to define and measure engineering outcomes and system performance.
• Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Proactive, curious, and collaborative – you lead with clarity and empower teams to solve complex problems.
• Experience working with AI-driven automation, agents or ML-powered systems is a strong plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Engineering or related field of study
• 3+ years' of management experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
