Réalta Technologies is a leading automation and digital systems consultancy specialising in the life sciences sector. We are currently seeking an experienced AVEVA PI Engineer to support a pharmaceutical client based in Salamanca, Spain. This role is suited to an engineer with 5+ years' experience delivering data historian, reporting, and process information systems in a regulated manufacturing environment.
 
You will be responsible for the delivery and support of Data Historian and Reporting systems, working closely with automation, IT, and project leadership teams to meet site and business objectives.
 
Key Responsibilities: 
  • Develop and approve User Requirements Specifications (URS)
  • Create and review SDLC documentation in line with company standards
  • Support system architecture, specifications, and design activities
  • Deliver and support Data Historian and Reporting solutions
  • Define and support the project Data Historian & Reporting roadmap
  • Communicate effectively with project leadership and cross-functional teams
  • Support project planning, including schedule and budget inputs
  • Provide technical guidance to internal teams and external vendors
  • Contribute to site digitalisation initiatives aligned with the site roadmap
  • Ensure compliance with cGMP, global policies, and regulatory requirements
Key Requirements: 
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or Life Sciences
  • 5+ years' experience in process control or information systems delivery
  • Experience in a pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience with AVEVA PI / PI AF and reporting solutions
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following: AVEVA PI (PI Server, PI AF), RT Reports, Kepware and FactoryTalk
  • Understanding of cGMP and regulated environments
  • Knowledge of GAMP SDLC, ISA-88, and ISA-95 standards
  • Experience with process control systems
     
  • Knowledge of data interfaces, data conversion, and network fundamentals
