Role Description

This is a part-time position for an experienced Accounting - Tax - Labor Specialist. The selected candidate will support and execute key accounting, tax, and labor compliance tasks for Essence Food, a global food-tech company operating across Europe, the Middle East, and Latin America. The role ensures accurate bookkeeping, regulatory compliance, and efficiency across all administrative and financial processes.

Level: Mid-Senior

Type: Part-Time

Key Responsabilities

  • Manage daily bookkeeping and accounting tasks for group entities under Spanish GAAP.
  • Prepare and review periodic tax filings (VAT, withholding taxes, informative returns) in coordination with external tax advisors.
  • Support labor administration: employment contracts, onboarding/offboarding, leave tracking, payroll documentation, and coordination with the labor consultancy.
  • Perform bank reconciliations, monitor invoicing cycles, and ensure proper control of accounts payable and receivable.
  • Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, or official requests.
  • Maintain accurate records for intercompany transactions and assist with transfer pricing compliance.
  • Liaise with external accounting, tax, and labor advisors across multiple jurisdictions (Spain, UAE, Colombia, etc.).
  • Support internal financial reporting, monthly closings, and forecasting.
  • Contribute to improving internal processes and implementing financial and administrative tools.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in accounting, tax compliance, and/or labor administration.
  • Solid understanding of the Spanish General Accounting Plan (PGC), full accounting cycle, and Spanish tax obligations.
  • Skills in administrative processes, billing, and office software tools.
  • Strong organization, accuracy, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Professional level of English (B2 or higher).
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field.

Desirable (Plus) Skills

  • Exposure to taxation concepts, including transfer pricing and international tax basics.
  • Basic understanding of transfer pricing.
  • Knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau) or basic financial modeling.
  • Previous internship or academic experience in audit, corporate finance, or management consulting.
