Senior Impact Investment Officer, Madrid

We are delighted to work on an important new role with one of our favourite Impact Investment clients, looking to talk with people with shared values and transferable Impact Investment skills.

The firm is dedicated to achieving positive impact and profit with purpose: catalysing socio-economic development in emerging markets communities that most benefit, while driving financial returns for investors.

The prime investee industries are:

Financial Institutions: Climate Finance and Green Financing:

• Microfinance and Financial Inclusion - opening up access for smallholders and small businesses through debt and/or equity investments.

Climate Tech:

• Direct debt and/or equity investments in climate solutions providers, sublemented and enhanced with technical assistance and help across the business.

The geographic footprint is Emerging Markets, the Global South, and specifically
Latin America and India

This will be an outstanding opportunity to build on your existing fundamental technical and financial analysis and investing experience working in a hugely respected, collegiate, impact driven investment Team.

Given the clear strategic mission, you'll be empowered to put the capital to work to effect real systemic change. Doing brave, meaningful investments that others perhaps can't or won't do.

We are keen to talk with talented people with the following experience and attributes, and just as keen to explore if you feel you have transferable skills that may not obviously 'tick the boxes' at first glance.

The 2 most important qualities that are likely to lead to mutual fulfilment are:

Do you have experience in:

• Financial Institutions: Climate Finance and Green Financing:
  Microfinance and Financial Inclusion;
  and/or
• Climate Tech

Plus:

• relevant professional experience including at least years of directly relevant work
• A-Z Deal Experience from sourcing/origination, through portfolio management, to exits
• in-depth experience of financial modeling, analysis and due diligence
• experience or an interest in hands-on, high touch direct investments where you'll work direct with management to ensure and amplify positive impact
• strategic insight: to help formulate and drive the LATAM investment strategy
• a passion for positively impacting the lives and livelihoods of those most in need
• a will to build relationships in a nurturing, mentoring, inclusive team and firm
• Pls Note: as this will be Madrid based, and working across LATAM,
  English and Spanish Native/full fluency is a requirement
