Senior Accountant

in our office in Zaragoza to perform accounting & finance activities for their assigned territories (Spain and/or our European affiliates).

An experienced Senior Accountant is vital to any organization's accounting and administration system. They oversee all aspects of general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions, ensuring the process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Primary responsibility of the Senior Accountant includes reconciling account balances and bank statements, maintaining general ledger and preparing month-end close procedures, with emphasis on timely and accurate entry booking.

Responsibilities

· Booking AP/AR invoices - coordination with suppliers and other third parties

· Prepare payments to suppliers.

· Bank accounts reconciliation. Booking Cash movements and maintaining cash forecast.

· AP/AR/Cash to GL reconciliation.

· Elaborating and submitting VAT filings (SII), CIT and other taxes (Intrastat, Intracommunity VAT, etc.)

· Support in daily activities and Year-end audit and preparation of statutory accounts.

· Knowledge of general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close process.

· Accrual preparation and control.

· Travel expenses.

· Perform administrative duties / responsible of the archive / multitasking

Qualifications
/Skills candidate should possess

·      Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.

·      At least 3 years of accounting experience in a similar position.

·      Experience in Microsoft NAV /Business Central.

·      Knowledge of finance and accounting principles, Spanish GAAP knowledge preferred.

·      Good working knowledge of intermediate to Advanced Excel.

·      Proven ability to contribute to the success and the achievement of a team.

·      Ability to switch gears, manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy.

·      Strong critical thinking, problem identification, analysis, corrective action, and closure.

·      Adaptability and drive including the ability to work under time-related pressures.

Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, and the ability to communicate complex subject matter in a simple, clear concise manner with internal and external clients.
