The Opportunity

The focus of the role is to support our environment local team in Madrid, as well as contributing to the successful delivery of projects across Europe.

As a Junior Environmental Consultant at Arup, you will:

• Prepare documentation for environmental planning and permitting (SEA, EIA, IEA).
• Participate in the processing of the environmental documentation.
• Provide environmental inputs to design projects.
• Support the business leaders to secure a strong pipeline of work in Spain.

Does this role inspire you?

We are looking for someone proactive and dynamic with a great interest in growing and developing their career in the Environmental Consulting field. Ideally, you'll bring:

• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline such as Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Forest Engineering, Ecology or equivalent qualification.
• 0-2 years of experience in the Spanish environmental planning and permitting regulatory framework, requirements and stakeholders, private and public.
• Interest in the development and processing of environmental planning documentation (Strategic Environmental assessment (Evaluación Ambiental Estratégica - EAE) and Environmental Impact assessment (Estudios de Impacto Ambiental - EIA) of projects in Spain.
• A Collaborative and team-player approach for working closely with our urban planning, design and engineering colleagues.
• Fluent written and spoken skills in English and Spanish.
