Senior Engineer- Grinding

Our cement site service business is growing. For this reason, we are seeking a new employee for the position of Senior Engineer in Grinding and Installation Services within grinding technology.

About The Role
As a Senior Engineer, you will be highly specialized and act as the technical owner of the related grinding equipment services in Europe. You will be responsible for the technical development and standardization of these services. Together with our regional sales and service teams, you will support the growth of services and ensure quality and a consistent service offering globally within the organization. You will also perform services, inspections, and troubleshooting within the grinding product line (ball mills and vertical roller mills), as well as related machinery.

You can anticipate up to 90 travel days per year, with customer sites as your workplace. You will be employed in
Madrid, Spain,
but the jobs will be executed globally. The job durations typically range from 1 week to 4 weeks, with a good work-life balance. The assignments are global, with typical locations in Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia.

About The Department
In Fuller Technologies, Grinding Services department, we also perform mechanical installation services primarily in Europe and support peers at customer sites within the cement industry. You will also be part of a competent and agile team within installation services, which is well supported in our business stake holders in our company. This offers several opportunities for cross collaboration with installation service partners and personal development within our organisation.

Your Responsibilities

• Develop skills and experience to become a global grinding service engineer
• Carry out on-site services, inspections and trouble shooting
• Perform maintenance and technical training both internally and externally
• Support regional service teams in training and up-qualification of colleagues
• Maintain and develop training and certification program within grinding services
• Maintain and develop the technical content of our grinding service offering
• Engage with customer to perform remote support as well as generating sales leads and opportunities
• Drive service growth through on-site presence with regional sales teams

What You Bring

• Speak and write English effortlessly (Additional languages skills are of benefit)
• Ability and eagerness to endure hands-on field work in often strenuous conditions
• Ability to take lead and give directions
• Eagerness to seek knowledge and experience within your field of work
• Have minimum of 15 years' experience in mechanical maintenance or erection of mechanical equipment within the cement industry
• Experience within grinding products (ball mills and vertical mills)
• Experience Installation services scoping/ Proposal / risk assessment / Initial meetings with client / contractor selection / contract negotiation/ pre project Visits
• A commercial understanding of aftermarket businesses
• Degree in mechanical engineering or marine engineering
