**"Celebrating local flavours"** defines the essence of GBfoods, the group that brings together the multi-local reality and the entrepreneurial and innovative spirit that has accompanied the various companies and local brands that shape it since its creation **80 years ago.** Today, with a turnover of around **1 billion euros** and a team of **3300 employees**, GBfoods is present in 40 countries in Europe, Africa and the Middle East through prestigious brands as **Gallina Blanca, Star, Jumbo, Grand'Italia, Gino, Erasco, Liebig and Royco.** We are now looking for a **Category Buyer **to join our Purchasing Department in our Headquarters in Barcelona to support the business in Europe. The incumbent will be responsible for supporting the Co-Manufacturing Sourcing Team Europe on all areas. Implement the Co-Manufacturing strategy in Europe in coordination with the Co-Manufacturing Souring Mgr.**Main tasks**: Strategy - Source Finished Products for Europe from co-manufacturers, co-packers and/or repackers - Take full responsibility on a group of assigned vendors, give support on other vendors - Manage negotiation, pricing/contracts inside local ERPs as well as supplier relationship management with assigned vendors - Identify additional potential vendors through market scouting Planning - Responsible for Budgeting and Reporting on assigned vendors Execution - Follow-up of Productivity Projects and New Developments implementation at vendors - Coordinate supplier level of service (quality and deliveries performance), forecasting review and invoicing incidences for all vendors - Give response to day to day issues at all vendors **What can you expect from us?** Being part of a growing multinational organization, in a multicultural and modern environment in a position with a global vision **What do we expect from you?** We are looking for someone with high sense of ownership and commitement who wants to be part of our growing project - University degree or engineering diploma - Experience: 5 years’ experience in a similar position in food manufacturing company.
