**We look for a RESEARCHER in the area of Microbiology and Plant Sciences with a background in ENTOMOLOGY. Strong communication and problem-solving skills, and a keen team player. Fluent Spanish and English. 40 hours a week, in Almería area, Spain.**

**The Microbiology Unit at R&D Department of Koppert España.**

Composed by about 9 employees, it is organized into two units, focused in Plant Diseases control/Biostimulants, and pests control with Entomopathogens.

You will join the Agronomical Development team of the R&D department in Spain. This team invests in high quality research, fully connected to practice, designed for supporting sales and marketing of Microbial Products, with the ultimate aim to maximize chances of success of our products in Modern Agriculture.

Agronomical Development is an international department composed by a multidisciplinary team with diverse areas of expertise; scientists, agronomists and marketing/sales-oriented colleagues converge in this department. We research our developing and marketed Microbial Products to support knowledge-based business decisions and provide the know-how to the technical teams recommendation’s to the growers, while providing robust data for registration. Agronomical Development is a

natural link between the last phase of product development and first steps of product marketing. Therefore, we team up closely with Microbial Profiling and Processing teams in The Netherlands to gain insights generated in the phase of isolate characterization. Using our core expertise in agricultural research we connect closely with the Market Access and Business Development Teams, who define our research questions and team up with us to transfer the knowledge into effective recommendations and marketing campaigns based on sound, well-visualized data.

**Your tasks and responsibilities**:
As Researcher, you will lead the research with BIOINSECTICIDES /ENTOMOPATHOGENS products in Spain.
- Together with the International Agronomical Development team, to prepare, perform and report research projects related to entomopathogens based products.
- Planning the activities related to the research projects in the area.
- Generate output from the early phase research into the base for field research.
- Team up with the other units of the Microbiology team in Koppert Spain as well as in The Netherlands.
- Lead a team of 2-3 research assistants.

**What are you bringing to Koppert?**
- Agronomy or Biology studies with a PhD in Plant Sciences, Microbiology, Entomology, Entomopathogens or a related field.
- Affinity with experimental design and data analysis; you do understand the core principles of scientific evidence and statistical analysis. Experience with ARM and R/GenStat is a plus.
- Experience in projects management.
- Experience supervising research assistants.
- Problem-solving skills.
- Ability to share your expertise in multidisciplinary and international teams.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal Spanish and English.
