Brand Overview- In Aclara, we design and supply the smart infrastructure solutions to our electric, gas and water utility partners to advance the function and value of their distribution networks- Posting Address- Aclara Meters- Gran Via 45, 6th floor- 48011 Bilbao (Bizkaia) Spain- Position Overview- Responsible for the design, development, and manufacturing support of electronic hardware components of high volume electronic and supporting products associated with Smart Infrastructure Solutions including areas such as AMI and Utility/Distribution Automation.- **Responsibilities**:
- Essential Functions:
- Develop electrical hardware incorporating all aspects of hardware design from concept to production launch including circuit design, schematic design, PCB design, testing and documentation.
- Ensure hardware captures and maintains system-level behavior that meets stated requirements.
- As part of a project team, help to develop strategy to validate resulting design against requirements including the development of design verification test procedures.
- Participate in the overall quality of the hardware incorporated in the system, communicating progress and challenges during development with functional and project management and completing development on the agreed-to schedule.
- Ensure designs are compliant with requirements of governing agencies (FCC, IC, UL) and capable of achieving relevant agency listings.
- Interact in a team environment and works with others to achieve the best possible end
- product from all functional viewpoints in a cost-effective manner.
- Familiar with DFMEA principles and root cause analysis as related to both electronic and mechanical fabrication and assembly processes.- Additional Responsibilities:
- Other duties as assigned by Manager.- Skills and Experience- Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent engineering degree.
- Working understanding of Design Verification Testing at the circuit level.
- Experience working in an environment where design staff and operations interact daily to manage component and product delivery issues.
- Experience with board bring-up and solid trouble shooting methodology using common tools such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and various types of handheld meters.- Education- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics- Relevant Industries
