AWWG is the global fashion group that integrates the brands Pepe Jeans London, Hackett, and Façonnable, and is the licensed distributor for Tommy Hilfiger, Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, DKNY and Karl Lagerfeld in Spain and Portugal.

**The project**

As a General Ledger Accountant you will be in charge of reporting the financial statements of AWWG group companies located in France.

**What will the role entail?**
- **Sales & Margin**: Ensure that business margins are correct and optimal by performing the following tasks: validation of monthly sales integrated into the system, and closing of purchases/retail (stock in transit, receipt of partial deliveries, and returns).
- **Payroll**: Accounting for the monthly payroll entry, cost analysis, and control of provisions.
- **Execution of Monthly Transactions and Recurring Entries**: Depreciation, revaluation, and others.
- **Intercompany Transactions Management**: Accounting for provisions and intercompany invoices, as well as monthly reconciliation and settlement of invoices at maturity.
- **Review and Validation of Expenses** recorded in the P&L to ensure that accounting records are accurate and real.
- **Tax Management**: Accounting and handling of VAT returns and other taxes specific to France.
- **Preparation of Monthly Management Accounts**.
- **Annual Closing Management** and handling of audit processes.

**Requirements of the position**:

- Grado en ADE, Economía o similar
- Accounting experience, at least with 1 year working in a similar position (previous work in a retail or wholesale company would be an added advantage)
- IT Skills: Excel skills will be essential. SAP and BI desirable.
- Languages: Fluent English
- Be technically strong with accounting rules
