**MADRID IT Platform**

The CIB IT Platform for EMEA is responsible to provide IT Services to our Clients ensuring a Digital Market evolution, in a secured and performant environment, and with a reliable quality. This function includes Global Markets Application Production, Local Territory IT Development, the Core Infrastructure environment including Datacentres, Application Production, Security, Architecture as well as elements of the Global Services organisation.

Context and Role summary

The “Data & Platform” Domain is part of the Corporate & Institutional Banking Information Technology & Operations (CIB ITO) of BNP PARIBAS, it is in charge to manage a key part of the infrastructure such the core of the servers, databases, storage, backup, middleware, citrix farms, automation / scanning / monitoring & alerting tools and vmware infrastructure.

Within this domain, DBA-Oracle has a relevant role, as this component is part of our baseline and cover a large part of our databases scope.

Position - Key Accountabilities

**This position is focus in the Administration of Oracle databases in European scope contributing to ensure the DBA services provided to the business are stable, resilient and performant.***

The DBA-Oracle team is responsible for production support of all Oracle databases in Europe, most of them located in Paris and London. Part of these databases are running on a private cloud and few of them in public cloud. For databases hosted in the cloud we provide global support together with APAC/AMER via follow the sun principle.

Support activities include:

- Monitoring and capacity management
- backup and recovery
- performance analysis
- new database/server architecture and builds
- general incident and service request resolution
- Change Management
- Actively collaborate with technical peers to share experiences and needs, with the target being to collectively define solutions to enhance the stability or increase the performance of the services in scope.
- Provide clear communication to the management team when required or requested.
- Focus on enhancing his/her core skills sets, develop new ones and share the knowledge with other colleagues.
- To work following ITIL methodology is part of the daily basis in this and the rest of IT areas.

Professional Skills, Abilities and Experience

**Essential**:
**5 years’ experience** working in an equivalent position
- Linux, UNIX based and Windows expert administration skills
- Expertise on:
- 11g, 12c and 19c database versions- Oracle enterprise Manager- RMAN- Oracle ASM- Oracle RAC- Dataguard- Database tunning- Linux scripting : Python, Shell- Automation skills (ansible, python, shell scripts, bash )
