We are looking for a Policy and Legal Research Analyst to join our international team of 25 analysts based in Barcelona. We offer a start-up working environment, tracking regulatory and market data in highly disruptive new sectors such as nicotine and tobacco alternatives, cannabis, and CBD, among others.
Combining technical legal insight with journalistic writing skills, the Policy and Legal Research Analyst will research and publish analysis on the Tamarind Intelligence online platforms concerning the rapidly changing and highly controversial regulatory landscape for these newly emerging sectors, including:
- tracking legal developments, effective implementation and enforcement of laws;
- establishing your own network of contacts and identifying reliable sources of information;
- writing and updating detailed legal regulatory reports of leading markets around the world;
- providing key analysis for shorter editorial updates on short time deadlines;
- understanding political dynamics and forecasting change; and
- working collaboratively with other members of the team on editorial, research and analysis projects.

- Legal degree, or similar.

- Other language skills are an advantage, in particular, Chinese or other Asian languages;
- Analytical mindset and capacity to organise your tasks and meet deadlines;
- Good communication skills: allowing you to develop links with regulators and stakeholders around the world;
- Excellent organisational and analytical abilities, attention to detail, and a strong work ethic - we need someone with a self-starting mentality;
