Senior Fund Accountant Loan Portfolio
- We are seeking a Senior Fund Accountant, reporting to a Manager within the Alternative Asset Services of Apex, to work within a team responsible for process automation & MS Excel improvements across the portfolio of the department.You will be directly working with our Alternative Asset Team in Luxembourg from our Valencia office.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Automation of MS Excel workings containing high volumes of data;

Close collaboration with the broader team to understand portfolio specifics and seek improvements;

Assisting with entity onboarding and process implementation on an on-demand basis;

Assist with the onboarding & mentoring of a number of trainee fund accountants;

Ensure that client responsibilities are managed effectively and to agreed client, best practice, regulatory and statutory deadlines;

Performing any additional responsibilities that may be required in the support of the on-going management and development of the division;

Maintaining accounting books and timelines of a portfolio of allocated clients;

Timely and accurate processing / reconciling of all fund transactions;

Preparation of financial statements / NAV calculations;

Working with the manager to ensure the planning, coordination and completion of NAVs;

Management Reporting and Statutory Reporting of corporate entities to ensure the team complies with all of its accounting and regulatory obligations and requirements including listing requirements and client reporting;

Liaising with fund managers, brokers, and custodians to communicate information and resolve issues on a timely basis;

Assisting the external auditors to ensure the audit function is executed on a timely and efficient basis;

**REQUIREMENTS**:
Degree from a Business school in Accounting and Finance;

Minimum 2-3 years of experience in the financial / alternative fund industry;

Good knowledge of alternative fund structures / asset classes (i.e. real estate, private equity, private debt);

Consolidation knowledge is a strong advantage;

Proficient in MS Excel;

Structural and detail orientated;

Good analytical and problem-solving skills;

Excellent interpersonal and teamwork skills;

Ability to prioritize work and meet strict deadlines;

Excellent communication and organizational skills;

Fluent English is mandatory. French or German would be a strong advantage.
