**R&D Team Lead**:

The R&D Team Manager plays an important role, driving and fostering a culture of innovation within the department while assisting the R&D Manager to plan and manage R&D activities and resources. In this position, you will support the development of projects and identify the budget for a specific functional area. In this role, you will be in charge of R&D Engineers in order to meet the requirements of product development projects.

**This position reports to**:
R&D Department Lead

**Your responsibilities**:

- Serving as a technical resource for internal and external contacts.
- Creating technology roadmaps and providing input regarding technology strategy planning.
- Planning and ensuring an optimal project portfolio for the team and overseeing efficient project execution.
- Recommending, developing, and improving processes and procedures to enhance local operations.
- Evaluating local market requirements and innovation, and providing feedback on product, manufacturing and R&D strategies.
- Overseeing and assisting with transfer of technology and knowledge between internal partners.
- Contributing to technical bodies both inside and outside ABB and promoting ABB's R&D internally and externally.

**Your background**:

- More than 5 years of experience in Automatic Mobile Robots, working as engineer or manager within a product development team.
- Sound knowledge of leadership, innovation, and problem solving for the automation market.
- Knowledge of technical construction files and safety regulations.
- A solution-focused approach and strong written and spoken communication skills.
- An engineer in electronic and automation.
- Fluent in Spanish and English.
- The role and function request to be on site frequently.
