**The Company** **The Role** We are looking for a QA Engineer on our GitKraken Desktop team to develop and execute automated tests to ensure quality across our products. In this role, you'll take ownership of code quality and collaborate across the GitKraken R&D and QA teams to ensure robust test coverage for our Git productivity and collaboration tools. We would love to hear from you **What you’ll do** - Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Engineering teams to deeply understand feature requirements and user workflows. - Identify, document, and track bugs and regressions, helping prioritize fixes that deliver the most value to our users. - Continuously improve test coverage and enhance our testing frameworks and pipelines, contributing to a robust CI/CD process. - Perform exploratory testing to uncover edge cases and ensure high product quality beyond the "happy path". - Analyze test results and provide clear, actionable feedback to engineering teams. - Help shape quality standards and advocate for best practices in test automation and software quality within the team. - Contribute to a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing, mentoring teammates where needed. - Champion the voice of the developer, ensuring that our tools empower and delight millions of users worldwide. **What you’ll bring** - 2+ years of professional experience in QA engineering - Extensive Manual testing experience - Experience with responsiveness and cross-browser testing - Multi-OS familiarity, including Windows, OS X, and Linux - Must be able to write test plans, test cases, test data, test scenarios, and other test artifacts - Strong understanding of coding practices, including code reviews - Experience developing unit, component, regression, and end-to-end tests in JavaScript/TypeScript - Knowledge of testing libraries and frameworks like Jasmine and Playwright - Familiarity with Git - Experience using version control, continuous integration and issue tracking tools (Git, Docker, Jenkins, JIRA) - Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Spanish - Ability to seek new methods or tools, including AI, improve testing strategy and personal growth **Bonus points** - Experience with performance testing (Jmeter, K6) - Experience with AI response evaluation tools. - API and contract testing (Postman) **How you’ll be rewarded** Excellence — Competitive compensation with annual performance-based pay increases Balance — Generous Paid-Time-Off Policy and country-specific paid holidays Health — Private insurance options Growth — Paid career and personal development, audiobooks, and mentorship - Equal Employment Opportunity Statement:_
